RD3
AFTECH's new Relational Database, Rapid Data access, and Reports Distribution solution provides the ability to automatically store core data in Microsoft® SQL database tables. Accessed via Crystal Reports® or Microsoft Access, these tables offer extensive information distribution management tools. SQL Views and SQL Security options control access. Delivered with a wide range of sample reports, RD3 enables clients to easily modify existing reports or develop new reports.
Core features of RD3 include:
- Process Flow: The evening scheduler creates individual tables from the core processing files. These tables are automatically sent to an SQL 2000 Server, and automatically load into an SQL database. If desired, an e-mail notification provides the status of the table creation.
- Provided Tools: RD3 includes over 360 tables, 160 predefined views, 30 functions, and a package of standard reports. Reports may be accessed via Crystal Reports, Adobe Acrobat®, the Web (ASP) or as an XML format using a stored procedure.
- Third Party Data Integration: Users can also add tables, SQL databases, or links to remote SQL databases, such as ATM switch activity, Visa/MasterCard, etc.
- Security: Microsoft SQL 2000's built-in security can be used to control access to data. Using the SQL Enterprise Manager, employees can be granted access to the Server and then grouped by role. Each role can be granted permission to access only those Views and Tables required by job function.
